Mountfield, Rosé Reserve NV

The Mountfield Winery is based in the heart of sparkling wine's biggest sensation: Sussex. It's been developed over the last 9 years in the grounds of a country estate which has been in the same family since 1860. Converting the estate's old dairy into the winery, which is next to the vineyard, means they can protect the quality of the fruit during harvest as there is no delay from vine to press. Rosé Reserve NV is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Pinot Meunier, mixing fruit from 2017 with back vintages of older still wine to create greater complexity and elegance. A creamy palate with a good crisp finish; bright with vibrant summer fruits and strawberry on the nose. A fine soft mousse and delicate colour; definitely a wine to savour.
